2026 Finishing Strong Award Info Session
Guidance on developing Village programs designed to encourage discussions and planning for end of life issues

The 2026 Finishing Strong Award application will be made available at wavevillages.org on February 1.
Application deadline: April 15 - 5:00 pm EST
WAVE's Finishing Strong Award was created by Chris Palmer and Gail Shearer of Bethesda, Maryland in 2022 to encourage more conversations and discussions about end-of-life issues and to support the creation of model Village programming. Chris and Gail's continued generosity has had an incredible impact on many Villages in our regional network and the lives of many individuals.
WAVE Member Villages are invited to submit proposals to address these goals.
On February 12, Chris will share more information about the award and 2026 application and evaluation process, as well as provide examples of other successful Village programming.
