Review of 2016 National Village Survey

Dear Village to Village Network Members,

As many of you are aware, the celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Beacon Hill Village and the Village Movement with Dr. Gawande was cancelled and rescheduled due to inclement weather in Boston yesterday. We again would like to apologize to all Villages that had planned events, 165 of you had planned to gather and celebrate!  It's such an exciting time for the Movement and we know many of you still had lovely celebrations despite circumstances.

As we had stated when we cancelled the event, Dr. Gawande has agreed to do the webinar as previously planned at a later date this year. It will most likely take place over the summer. Unfortunately, we do not have any further information at this point. We will update you via email and on our website as soon as new information becomes available.

In lieu of the webinar with Dr. Gawande yesterday, Village to Village Network had gathered with a handful of Villages to discuss the latest 2016 National Survey of Villages with Roscoe Nicholson at Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging.  Roscoe provided an overview of the study and we had a great Q&A session afterwards. This webinar was recorded and the recording, PPT and 2016 study are all available now.

Lastly, if you still held your celebrations yesterday, we would love to hear about them! Please email and share stories and pictures from your event.
