About this event

CC@H is thrilled to host former journalist and debut novelist Chandrani Ghosh at the Town Hall to discuss her new novel, Heartlines. A former writer for Time, Forbes, and Business Standard, Ghosh draws on her experiences growing up in Kolkata and Delhi, living in London, Geneva, and Kathmandu, and ultimately settling in Chevy Chase to craft a vivid and compelling story of identity, ambition, and belonging.

Heartlines centers on Sharmila, an Indian American political journalist whose seemingly perfect life inside Washington’s elite circles begins to fracture under the pressures of love, scandal, and cultural expectation. Through this high-stakes and evocative novel, Ghosh explores the complexities of Indian American identity and life within the corridors of power.

Join us for an engaging conversation with the author and the personal experiences that inspired her debut novel. Chandrani Ghosh’s new novel, Heartlines, will be available for purchase at the event with cash or Venmo. The book can also be purchased in advance at Politics and Prose or Amazon and brought to the event. There will be a book signing after the presentation.
